1. What to take with you to a festival

Packing for a festival requires strategic thinking, ultimately because you’re the one responsible for carrying everything to the campsite. Therefore, you need to pack as lightly as possible. However, when it comes to camping in a field for four days this is never easy.

Let’s start with the essentials:

-       Festival Ticket

-       ID

-       Card/ Cash

-       Phone

Camping equipment:

-       Tent

-       Sleeping bag (warm as possible - you are in the UK after all)

-       Pillow (inflatable - easier to pack)

-       Ground mat

-       Chair (prevents sitting on the ground)

-       Towel

-       Bin bags (rubbish, wet clothes, or dirty shoes)

Cooking equipment can be brought however it’s not necessary

Clothing:

-       Festival outfits

-       Comfy trainers

-       Socks

-       Pants

-       Bra

-       Pj’s

-       Joggers and hoodie

-       Sliders (good for walking round the campsite)

-       Waterproofs

-       Outfit to travel home in

-       Wellies (dependant on weather)

Electronics:

-       Portable charger (bring multiple)

-       Speaker (for camp site)

-       Torch (crucial for getting around camp at night without tripping over tent pegs)

Toiletries:

-       Toothbrush/Toothpaste

-       Deodorant

-       Face cream

-       Hand sanitizer

-       Wet wipes (can act as your temporary shower)

-       Sun cream (don’t be fooled, we got burnt one year)

-       Tissues/toilet roll

-       Makeup remover

-       Plastics

-       Hairbrush

-       Paracetamol (an essential)

-       Shampoo, conditioner, body wash (if you have shower access)

-       Any medication

Food/ drink:

How much you bring is optional as there is a Co-op and food trucks but I would recommend:

-       Energy bars

-       Pain au chocolate/ croissants (good for mornings)

-       Crips/snacks

-       Alcohol cans (big priority for us ;)

-       Litre of spirit (don’t bring in a glass bottle)

-       Big bottle of water

Extras:

-       Ear Plugs

-       Eye mask

-       Sunglasses

-       Bucket hat

-       Bum bag
